Friday STEM Day!

Room 2 got together with Room 1 for STEM again today. We love doing STEM as a group. It may be a little noisy at your houses this weekend though. We created shakers/maracas with easter eggs, spoons, and lots of tape. We then had a go at following the beat of some songs.

Introducing Chippy the Room 2 Elf!

Room 2's Elf on a Shelf showed up in class this morning. We received a special letter as well. Room 2 then voted on what his name should be. Chippy won the vote. So Chippy will be visiting us every day.

We have been starting our Maths lessons with a different word problem lately. We discuss different ways to solve the problem. Room 2 is loving coming up with all sorts of ways to get to the answer.

Friday STEM Day!

We had an awesome time doing our STEM activity with Room 1 today. We have been learning about how to create music, so we decided to create our own guitars this week. We started our activity talking about how the rubber bands vibrating as we pluck them is what makes the sound. We also looked at some pictures of different homemade guitars. We talked about why using different size rubber bands is a good idea.

Bring In Your Items For Making Instruments on Friday!

We are wanting to make guitars on Friday and the class have been asked to bring in a tissue box (or similar) and a cardboard tube (Handee towel or similar etc).

If you have not sent some in, please send them to school ASAP so we can all make one of Friday
